ONBOARDING & LIVENESS

Liveness, document capture and a risk questionnaire that means it

An ID photo is not a KYC programme. FinLabCore’s individual onboarding is one continuous in-app journey: identity documents captured, a live face-scan confirming a real, present person, and a structured risk questionnaire that collects what AML obligations actually require, with product access gated on the result.

The compliance suite →

Liveness and document capture, built in

The user starts in your app and finishes in your app: document capture and a live face-scan run as embedded steps of one flow, confirming both that the document is real and that the person presenting it is really there, the fraud-cutting pair an ID upload alone cannot deliver. A desktop user can hand off to their phone mid-journey for the camera work and return without losing the thread, and the resulting verification status lands on the user’s profile.

A risk questionnaire that meets AML obligations, not a formality

Beyond identity sits the part regulators actually read: a full, structured questionnaire capturing occupation, income, net worth and source-of-wealth evidence; PEP, sanctions, financial-crime, bankruptcy and beneficial-ownership declarations with conditional follow-ups where an answer demands one; and planned-usage profiling, expected inbound and outbound volumes and currency-exchange activity. That last part is what powers risk-based limits and monitoring from the client’s first day, not their first incident.

From verification status to product access

Verification is not a parallel process the product ignores, it is the gate: regulated operations and sensitive features unlock as the user’s verification status allows, with the status clearly tracked across the lifecycle. The institutional consequence lives on KYC/KYB onboarding: tiers, country rules, and the review queues your policy routes to.

Onboarding and liveness FAQ

What does verification actually collect?
Identity documents and a live face-scan; personal and address details; and the structured questionnaire, occupation, income, net worth, source of wealth, PEP/sanctions and related declarations, and planned usage.
Because a document proves an identity exists; liveness proves the person presenting it is real and present, the difference between checking a photo and cutting fraud.
Yes, the journey hands off to mobile for capture and returns the user to where they were, one continuous flow.
They feed the risk picture: declarations trigger conditional follow-ups where needed, and expected-usage answers inform risk-based limits and monitoring from day one.
The product gates by status, regulated operations unlock once verification allows, and the status is visible to the user throughout.
